1. What this site is
Topupbuscard.org is an independent online service for hafilat recharge — that is, for adding credit to hafilat bus cards used on public bus routes across the Abu Dhabi Emirate. The site is not the operator of the hafilat network, does not issue physical cards, and is not a public authority.
2. Who can use the service
The service is intended for adults who hold a valid hafilat bus card and a Visa or Mastercard issued in the UAE. By using the service you confirm that you are entitled to use the payment card and that the hafilat card belongs to you or to someone for whom you are acting with permission.
3. Top-up amounts and fees
A single top-up is limited to a range of AED 5 to AED 500. A small handling contribution is added on top of the chosen amount and is displayed plainly on the payment step before any payment is taken. There are no membership fees and no recurring charges.
4. How a top-up reaches the card
After a successful payment, your chosen amount is forwarded to the hafilat network for crediting. The new balance normally becomes visible on the card within a few minutes; full visibility on the card itself occurs after the next tap at a bus reader.
5. Refunds
If a payment has been taken but the top-up has not yet been loaded onto the card, a refund may be requested through our care team. Once the credit has reached a hafilat card balance, it remains on the card and is used up by future fares, in line with the network's own conditions.

6. Acceptable use
You agree to use the service only for genuine top-ups of hafilat bus cards. You will not attempt to:
- use a payment card that does not belong to you or for which you do not have permission;
- submit card numbers that do not exist or that have been reported lost or stolen;
- automate requests in a way that places undue load on the site;
- misrepresent the service, including by suggesting that this site is an official channel of the network's operator.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the site available continuously. From time to time, brief interruptions may occur for maintenance or because of issues upstream with the hafilat network. We do not promise an uninterrupted service.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by UAE law, the service is provided as is. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, for example missed journeys arising from a delayed top-up. Where a top-up was paid but not credited, our liability is limited to refunding the relevant amount.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the way the payment processor works or in how the hafilat network handles top-ups. Material changes will be highlighted on this page; the date at the top of the page is the date of the most recent update.
